    EID MUBARAK
Message of Appreciation- Chair of Trustees, M.Saflo

On behalf of the Masjid trustees, I would like to thank the management, for ensuring smooth operation during Ramadan, and the staff and volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to ensure that you all have a fulfilling month of fasting, socially and spiritually. Most of this work has been behind the scenes requiring much patience and sacrifice. First, in social events, thank you to our volunteers who have cleaned the mosque at least once daily, and more frequently with regular events. Our car park attendants and fundraising team for their tireless service to organise the premises and raise money for good causes such as No 14 York Road. Second, thank you to our catering team of chefs and servers who worked industriously every day, together with those who prepared the venue for iftar and those who cleaned up afterwards. Special credit belongs to the weekend Sunday feast service that they provided. Thank you to our ‘goody bag’ team who always bring joy to our little ones on Eid day. Third, spiritually, thank you to our imams who graced us with a moving recitation of the Quran, illuminating the House of Allah with His Magnificent Words, and facilitating our spiritual connection with Allah Azza wa Jal. We thank our host Imams, our guest Imam, students and our future Huffadh who led the Taraweeh beautifully. Finally, a thank you to you, the worshippers, for bringing warmth to Allah’s House, filling it with the sound of your duas and your children. We pray that Allah accepts our duas, prayers and fasts. Ameen

“Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, so that He may multiply it to him many times?” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:245)
The renovation of Number 14 York Road will generate a steady income stream. This will fund mosque expansion, including redeveloping the sports hall and community facilities. Additionally, the funds will support essential local projects that benefit the entire community, in particular, our youth, sisters, families, new Muslims and local and university students.

    Iftar with the Wider Community

On the 24th of March, we hosted members of the public in the mosque for iftar. It was a fantastic event to showcase our Islamic faith and practices.

    Eid Lunch

Eid Lunch will be on Sunday, 6th Aprill at the mosque, from 12pm.
